Checking In

I know it's been a while since I wrote anything so I am just checking in and catching up. Not a whole lot has been going on. I got a haircut and I discovered that hair stylists (at least every single one I have ever been to) don't listen to what you want. I have reasonable expectations and I know they can not do EXACTLY what I want because I have very fine hair. Even so, they always end up doing what they want or what they think will look good. Needless to say I have never had a hair style I love, or even like, very much. Where did all the good hair stylists go?!

Okay, moving on. I woke up this morning with a craving for waffles. I even had some waffle batter in the pantry that was still good. Imagine the luck I thought I had. That feeling soon left. I made a perfect waffle for my husband. It was perfectly round, golden brown and crisp. I was SO looking forward to one now. I went to pour the batter and everything was well... then my luck ran out. The waffle maker stopped heating! Oh how sad I was. :-/ *sigh*

Well the time has finally come to start searching for a new home. We knew the time would come eventually, but it always seemed like it was so far in the future. Now it almost doesn't seem real. I am excited about the prospect of a house that is actually mine to do with what I please. Now all we have to do is find one. Much easier said than done of course. At any rate I am looking forward to the task in front of us.

The Super Bowl is coming up, which means one thing: FOOD! (You thought I was going to say football, huh? Nope.) Chris's famous chili is one thing everyone in the family always looks forward to during the Super Bowl.
