Spring Has Sprung
So far the month of March has been interesting.
My birthday came and went very quickly and, as always, it was enjoyable. Since my Birthday fell on a Tuesday, I spent it with my sister-in-law, with whom I share a birthday, and her husband.
The following weekend, my husband and I flew to Arizona to surprise my Grandpa for his 80th birthday. He was very happy and surprised to see us. We all had a great time. As gifts, he was presented with a box containing four other containers from my uncle, aunt and two cousins. The first container had 80 pennies, the second had 80 nickles, the third had 80 quarters, and finally the fourth had 80 one-dollar bills. Then there was a rather bulky card which, once opened, revealed yet another 80 one-dollar bills from my other aunt. This had him in stitches. Then came the card from my Dad, which said something along the lines of, "I went to the bank to get 80 one-dollar bills, but the teller told me they had quite a run on one-dollar bills and were out." We all had a good laugh over this as my Grandpa is always pulling jokes on others.
Arizona had another nice little surprise for us... SNOW! This was great for me. I love snow and
had missed it over the winter. But man it was COLD!
Once we returned back to rainy San Diego late on Sunday night, Chris had to pack and, after a measly three hours of sleep, head back to the airport for his very first business trip to North Carolina. That week was interesting as it was the first time since we were married that we spent any significant amount of time apart.
So this week we are currently getting back into the swing of things. Not always easy after a week without anything to do. This weekend we ventured out into the world of open houses. EEK! What a scary thought! We have more searching and thinking to do. Wish us luck! Now that spring has sprung I should probably start spring cleaning and get stuff ready to move.
Happy Spring!
