The Big Day
Ah Christmas. So much emphasis on a single day, you spend a couple days and a couple hundred dollars to decorate and buy gifts and then..it's gone and done with and then what? You spend a couple days and couple of curse words getting rid of everything you put up, including a fight with the tree. I think the BIG day is the day after christmas, all you serious shoppers know what I am talking about. The day after christmas sales. You return all the gifts you got and get what you really wanted. And start all over preparing for next years Christmas. I had a nice Christmas though. A quiet day just my husband and me. Our second Christmas as a married couple but our first Christmas alone. All in all a pleasant day.
Merry Christmas to all! And to all a goodnight.
It's Christmas Eve already! This month has just flown by and soon December will be over and we will be welcoming the new year. Come to think of it, this whole year has flown by so quickly. I don't have a whole lot to say, but I wanted to wish everyone and anyone who reads this a very Merry Christmas/Hanukka/(insert various beliefs and celebrations here)! And if I don't talk to any of you before New Years...have a happy one!
The world is out to get me...
Do you ever feel like your cat is out to get you? I believe cats are much smarter
than they lead you to believe. I had just changed the sheets and re-made the bed, when lo and behold..just ten measly minutes later I find cat puke on the blanket I had just washed. My suspicions lead me to believe it was Pierre. He was laying in his usual place in the middle of the bed. I made him move from his soft, warm spot and I believe this to be his revenge! Cats don't like to be moved for reasons other than they deem fit. And that is that! Seems the cats rule over the house . We are just their loyal subject here to cater their every whim. *sigh*
Oh how we change
You never know what will happen. One week my husband and I are
unapologetically mocking those with blogs, and the next thing I know
he had signed up for one, then my mother-in-law and so on. So I
threw caution to the wind and, well, here I am. Don't get me wrong, some
blogs are very nice and useful with something to say. However,
most, well, they just don't. I see now though, that it is very theraputic to
just have some place to write about the daily goings on of one's life and
most everything around it. I guess only time will tell.
Until then happy blogging!
